Works Infrastructure has formalised its ‘corporate partner’ status with Rotorua District Council through a substantial funding contribution for the Energy Events Centre development.

This week a function was held with senior executives of the company and council representatives, where a cheque was handed over to Mayor Kevin Winters by Works Infrastructure’s regional manager Central North, Jeff Oldman.

Works Infrastructure representatives (L to R): Tina Holden, Bruce Cullen (incoming Regional Manager),
Jeff Oldman (outgoing Regional Manager), Paul Keogh, Karen Boyes, Vince Holmes,
Mayor Kevin Winters, Rhys Graham.

Mr Oldman said the company is proud to be associated with the Energy Events Centre, as well as being one of the contractors who had worked on the project to achieve the excellent results. He said they were impressed with the finished product.

The Rotorua Partners Programme involves the council working in partnership with corporate businesses and other organisations wanting to contribute to the development of community projects and programmes such as the Energy Events Centre.

RDC business partnerships manager, Nick Dallimore, says it was a great example of how the council and its partners are able to get together to celebrate what has been achieved.

“Most importantly we are able to look towards the future to what these relationships will accomplish.”
