The countdown is on to the 2006 opening of the new Energy Events Centre in Rotorua.

This state of the art complex will complete a line up of venues that already make Rotorua a world-class place to hold conventions and exhibitions, major sporting events and concerts.

Rotorua can handle the big stuff – with the arrival of the Energy Events Centre in 2006, ‘big’ just got bigger. The Energy Events Centre will be built in Government Gardens behind the Museum of Art and History. The centre will be connected to the existing Sportsdrome, increasing the available floor space from around 3,000 square metres to 11,000 square metres.
