She takes up the new position of Energy Events Centre manager on 12 February, reporting to Event Venues Rotorua general manger Peter McLeod.

For the last five years Ms Bradbury has been manager of the business development team at the Wellington Convention Centre, which encompasses the Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington Town Hall and TSB Arena.

Peter McLeod says Elsa brings a wide range of experience to the new position along with excellent events industry knowledge and networks.

“The Energy Events Centre is in for an incredibly busy inaugural year with a heavy schedule of large scale conferences, exhibitions and other events already signed up. We are delighted to have been able to recruit someone with the experience that Elsa has to take responsibility for ensuring the centre fulfils its true potential as one of the premier events and conference venues in the country.”

Ms Bradbury is also a board member of both the Events and Exhibitions Association of Australasia, and Associations New Zealand Inc.

Before joining the Wellington Convention Centre, she worked for Novotel Tainui in Hamilton as sales manager prior to becoming food and beverage manager for the hotel.

She is a trained chef having spent four years studying at London City and Guilds and has owned and operated her own restaurant and function centre.
